I love animals and art. I founded a pet sitting service in 2013 and worked full-time as the sole owner-employee for nearly ten years. Now, I work part-time in my pet sitting service - a boutique service to my most treasured pet sitting clients - as I explore what I can do creatively with Holly St Studio. Many of the pet-focused products you see on our site are inspired and named after my most beloved pet pals.
Chief Operating Officer - Lyle is - to put it plainly - a boss ass bitch. He knows what the company needs to function properly. One of his finest organizational implements, a daily, mandatory hour+ walk, allows all members of the company to get their blood flowing and ideas percolating. This is, again, a mandatory activity that takes place on a daily basis. No ifs, ands or buts about it; we are walking every goddamned day. You may question special weather circumstances or illness. Don't! Lyle doesn't. Are there two feet of snow on the ground? Walk. Is it -5 degrees with blustery northern wind? Walk. Is there a thunderstorm rolling in? Walk. Are Jason and Jenny down with a new COVID variant? Walk. There are no exceptions. This is what peak performance looks like and we are so thankful Lyle is at the helm of operations.
Head of Security - Sonny is a simple boy at heart. He very much enjoys the mandatory hour+ walks we all participate in daily. He loves engaging in parkour along retaining walls and climbing trees when prompted. He lives to scout for squirrels and bunnies. And adores saying "Hi!" to neighborhood kitties with his patented full-strength pulling motion, in which he uses his entire 70 pounds of muscle to get at that kitty to hug it and love it forever and ever. He also gains tons of knowledge from the pee-sniffing experiments he conducts along our walking routes. But, oh dear, is that jogger getting too close to his mother as we wait at the intersection for the crosswalk sign to change? "Yeah, he is coming right for us," Sonny believes, "YOU PRED! YOU SICKO FREAK! LET ME AT HIM! LET ME AT HIM! I'LL RIP YOU LIMB FROM LIMB, CRIMINAL JOGGER!" You get the idea, he lives in a black and white world and is perfect in his role as Head of Security.
Member of The Board - He was kissed into this esteemed position by his father. The election of Rotten to the Board of Directors was a disgusting scene of nepotism and entitlement - we won't delve too deeply into it here. Suffice it to say, a screaming match erupted as Sonny and Lyle protested his nomination - a dreadful moment in our company's founding. In the end, Rotten gets what Rotten wants. If he doesn't, he will yowl until he does. And no one wants to listen to that noise.
